ABU DHABI: The UAE’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque welcomed nearly seven million visitors in 2025, marking the highest annual attendance since its opening. The figure represents a 4% increase over 2024, highlighting the mosque’s growing status as a leading religious and cultural landmark in the Middle East.
Official figures showed that more than 1.53 million visitors performed prayers, while over 2.4 million attended for iftar and other religious activities. Foreign tourists accounted for 82% of total visitors, with the majority from Asia (49%), followed by Europe (33%) and North America (11%).
During Ramadan and Eid ul-Fitr, the mosque hosted 1.89 million worshippers and guests, distributing over 2.6 million iftar and suhoor meals through humanitarian programmes. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre also conducted over 4,000 cultural tours and events, hosting 335 high-level delegations, reinforcing its role as a global hub for faith, tourism, and intercultural dialogue.
