Rana Sanaullah Blames Trump for Inflation, Says End of War Will Bring Down Petrol Prices

Faisalabad: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said that public complaints about inflation are justified, but blamed US President Donald Trump rather than the government for the current economic difficulties.

Addressing a gathering in Faisalabad, Rana Sanaullah said tensions between Iran and the United States, along with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, had disrupted gas supplies from Qatar and affected Pakistan.

He expressed hope that an end to the war would help Pakistan move towards economic prosperity and lead to a reduction in petrol prices.

Rana Sanaullah further said Pakistan had played an important role in efforts to stop the Iran-US war and had urged both countries to agree to a ceasefire.

He added that Field Marshal Asim Munir’s diplomatic efforts had enhanced Pakistan’s respect and standing in the international community.
