QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Sunday said at least 145 terrorists were killed during nearly 40 hours of intelligence-based operations across the province after coordinated attacks by the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and India-backed Fitna al-Hindustan.
Bugti said 17 security personnel and 31 civilians were martyred in attacks across 12 towns, including Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar, and Pasni. He confirmed that terrorists in Gwadar killed five women and three children.
The chief minister stressed that operations were limited and intelligence-driven to avoid civilian casualties, as militants often used human shields, including children. He praised the bravery of security forces in preventing attacks on key infrastructure and vowed to continue operations against terrorists relentlessly.
Bugti alleged Afghan nationals were assisting militants and condemned India’s role in sponsoring proxy networks. He reiterated that terrorists have no national or tribal identity and criticized previous reconciliation policies, saying militants would be brought to justice under Pakistan’s National Action Plan.
