ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar received a phone call from Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, according to the Foreign Office (FO).
During the conversation, the Bahraini foreign minister congratulated Dar on the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran, with Pakistan serving as a witness, the FO said.
The Foreign Office added that Al Zayani also appreciated Pakistan’s constructive mediation role in facilitating the understanding reached between the two sides.
“Both leaders felicitated each other on this important milestone and expressed hope that it would contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region,” the FO said.
The two foreign ministers reaffirmed the strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and Bahrain and highlighted the importance of continued high-level engagement and close cooperation between the two countries, the statement added.
