Salalah: More than 20 hours after a mysterious drone strike, Oman’s Salalah Port remains on fire, severely affecting trade and maritime transport in the region.
The cause of the attack remains unknown, and authorities continue efforts to control the blaze.Iran has categorically denied any involvement in the attack on the port of its brotherly Islamic neighbor.
A spokesperson from the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters confirmed that Iran is closely monitoring the situation and will take necessary action once the facts are established.
Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi took a strong stance on the ongoing regional tensions, stating that the war against Iran is not solely aimed at Iran but seeks to alter the political and strategic landscape of the entire region.
He emphasized that the ongoing military aggression by the United States and Israel against Iran is both unethical and illegal, contributing to further instability across the Middle East.
Minister Al-Busaidi also confirmed that Oman will not join former President Trump’s “Peace Council” and will not normalize relations with the Israeli regime.
He stressed that Oman prioritizes genuine political solutions for regional peace and the resolution of the Palestinian issue and refuses to participate in unilateral or conspiratorial plans.
