Hamburg: Clashes broke out at the end of a youth protest in Hamburg, Germany, after masked participants erected and set fire to barricades and threw firecrackers and stones at police.
Police responded by deploying pepper spray and water cannons to disperse the demonstrators and restore order.
The march was part of the nationwide “Gen Z regelt” protests held in more than 30 German cities against military conscription.
Demonstrators also called for increased education funding, measures to address rising living costs and stronger climate action.
