Islamabad (Monitoring Desk) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during which the two leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation, ongoing tensions, and issues related to regional peace and stability.
During the discussion, the Prime Minister emphasized that in the current sensitive circumstances, the challenges facing the region can only be effectively addressed through sustained dialogue, continuous diplomatic engagement, and close mutual consultation. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to playing a constructive diplomatic role in promoting peace, security, and development across the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored the importance of restraint, patience, and responsible conduct by all concerned parties, stressing that disputes should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy to prevent further instability and escalation.
President Masoud Pezeshkian concurred with the Prime Minister’s views, stating that Iran also seeks peace, stability, and cooperation in the region.
He emphasized the importance of close coordination and consultation with Pakistan to achieve these shared objectives.
Both leaders agreed that enhanced bilateral cooperation, sustained diplomatic contacts, and regional harmony are essential to effectively addressing current challenges.
