Mohsin Naqvi Meets Iranian Leadership to Discuss Regional Stability and U.S.-Iran Talks

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on Sunday, where both sides discussed the ongoing U.S.-Iran negotiations and the evolving regional security situation.

According to Iranian media reports, the meeting focused on diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the region, including mediation initiatives and recent developments affecting regional stability.

The discussions took place amid renewed diplomatic activity surrounding the future of negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

During his visit, Naqvi also held talks with Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni. The two officials exchanged views on ongoing ceasefire efforts and dialogue initiatives intended to ease regional tensions and promote stability.

Speaking to the media following the meetings, Naqvi revealed that he had delivered a special letter from Pakistan’s Field Marshal to Iran’s Supreme Leader, along with a message from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to the Iranian leadership.

The Pakistani minister expressed hope that Islamabad’s diplomatic engagement would contribute to efforts aimed at resolving the current crisis through dialogue and peaceful means.

He also praised the role played by senior Iranian officials, including Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, in promoting diplomatic solutions and regional peace.

Naqvi emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between Pakistan and Iran in addressing common regional challenges and supporting initiatives that encourage stability and constructive dialogue.

The visit highlights the ongoing diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Tehran as both neighboring countries seek peaceful solutions to regional issues and reaffirm their commitment to dialogue over confrontation.
