PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved the release of Rs4 billion for development and depopulation-related activities in Khyber district, officials said on Tuesday.
According to the Finance Department, the funds have been allocated specifically for Tirah depopulation activities and will be utilised during the current fiscal year 2025–26.
An official notification stated that the funds will be disbursed through the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to ensure timely and effective implementation of approved activities in the district.
The allocation is part of the provincial government’s broader efforts to support affected communities and manage population-related challenges in sensitive areas of Khyber district.
