ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss the latest regional developments.
According to a statement, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on the evolving situation in the region, with Dar stressing the importance of uninterrupted energy supplies and the safe and expeditious passage of ships.
The Pakistani foreign minister highlighted the broader implications of disruptions to energy supplies and maritime traffic for developing countries and global supply chains.
Ishaq Dar underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable means of ensuring peace and stability in the region.
The two ministers agreed to maintain close cooperation and also decided to meet in New York on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
