Trump Threatens Iran’s New Leadership in Fiery Speech

Washington: US President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning against Iran, saying that any new leadership emerging in the country would also be targeted.

Addressing a conference of Republican members, the US president adopted an aggressive stance towards Iran and claimed that the United States and Israel were carrying out major joint military operations against the country.

Trump said the operations had significantly damaged Iran’s military capabilities. According to him, US forces had targeted around 5,000 sites in Iran and destroyed 51 Iranian naval vessels.

He claimed that Iranian warships were now lying at the bottom of the sea and that Iran’s drone and missile capabilities had also been largely destroyed.

The US president further alleged that if the United States had not carried out the operation, Iran could have obtained a nuclear bomb within two weeks, which he described as a serious threat to global security.

Trump said the world was currently witnessing a major and complex military campaign named “Epic Fury,” which he claimed was proving even more effective than the earlier operation “Midnight Hammer.”

In his speech, Trump said that during his first presidential term he focused on strengthening the US military, while in his second term he was fully utilizing that strength.

He stated that the US military was the most powerful force in the world and that the entire world had now realized its capabilities.

The president also said the United States had become stronger and more influential than before and that his administration was rapidly working to make America great again.

Referring to the tenure of former US president Joe Biden, Trump described the United States withdrawal from Afghanistan as a “shameful moment” in American history, saying the decision had damaged the country’s global reputation, though he claimed the world now respected the United States more than ever.
