LOS ANGELES: American pop singer Britney Spears was arrested in Los Angeles on March 4 on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI), according to media reports.
The 44-year-old singer was released the following morning and is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.
The incident has renewed public discussion about Spears’ mental health, which has drawn attention for several years.
