TEHRAN: Iran has warned that it could target Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility if the United States and Israel attempt to pursue regime change in the Islamic Republic.
According to a foreign news agency citing Iran’s semi-official media, a senior Iranian military official said Tehran would respond decisively to any external intervention or attempt to overthrow its government.
The official stated that in such a scenario, Israel’s Dimona nuclear reactor would be among Iran’s primary targets.
He further claimed that Iran possesses the capability to strike such strategic locations and warned that if a war were imposed on the country, the conflict could expand across the region.
The statement added that Iran would go to any extent necessary to defend its sovereignty and political system.
