An Israeli drone strike targeted the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon, according to colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic.
Israeli forces have continued to carry out attacks in southern Lebanon while occupying parts of the region, despite a US-brokered “ceasefire” agreement.
Earlier, Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported that southern villages and towns, particularly areas in and around the Israeli-imposed “Yellow Zone”, were experiencing heightened tensions following massive explosions carried out by Israeli forces overnight.
The NNA said the blasts were heard across the entire southern region, beginning shortly after midnight and continuing into the morning.
