TEHRAN: Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has congratulated the people of Iran on the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the United States, describing it as a “great stride toward final victory”.
In a message posted on X, Ghalibaf said the agreement marked a significant moment for Iran following what he described as years of resistance and struggle.
He addressed the Iranian public as “beloved and steadfast,” praising their resilience and the role of the country’s armed forces in the recent conflict.
Ghalibaf said Iran had achieved progress through what he called historic resistance against forces that sought to “take the lives of this nation and destroy and subjugate this country.”
He added that despite such efforts, those adversaries had failed in their objectives, stating: “They wanted to—but they could not.”
The parliament speaker emphasized that Iran’s position remains firm and unwavering in the aftermath of the conflict.
He concluded his message by expressing confidence in Iran’s future, saying: “We remain steadfast, and in the end, Iran will be victorious, God willing.”
