Islamabad Court Upholds Non-Bailable Arrest Warrants for KP CM Sohail Afridi

Islamabad: A district and sessions court in Islamabad has upheld non-bailable arrest warrants for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in a case involving alleged misleading allegations against state institutions and attempts to damage their reputation. The court ordered authorities to arrest him and produce him before the court.

Judicial Magistrate Malik Aman heard the case registered against the provincial chief minister. Due to Afridi’s absence, the court decided to maintain the non-bailable arrest warrants.

The court directed the relevant authorities to arrest Afridi and present him before the court, adjourning further proceedings until November 15.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has registered the case against Afridi under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA). The allegations concern purported misleading claims against state institutions and damage to their reputation.

The allegations remain subject to the judicial process.
