ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Friday said Pakistan’s security forces had killed 663 militants belonging to the Afghan Taliban regime and Fitna al-Khawarij during Operation Ghazab lil-Haq.
Providing a situation update at 16:00 hours, the minister said that 249 Afghan posts were destroyed, while 44 others were captured during the operation.
He said that 887 Afghan operatives were injured in the operation carried out by Pakistan’s security forces.
Tarar further stated that around 224 tanks, armoured vehicles and artillery guns had been destroyed during the military action.
The minister added that about 70 terrorist and support locations across Afghanistan had also been targeted through air operations.
According to the minister, on the night of March 12–13, 2026, Pakistan successfully struck installations affiliated with terrorist groups operating inside Afghanistan.
He said the strikes targeted terrorist infrastructure in Kabul, Paktia and Kandahar, including logistics bases and training camps used to support militant activities.
Tarar also shared a video on the social media platform X showing what he described as precision strikes on terrorist facilities.
He maintained that Pakistan’s forces targeted only those installations directly or indirectly supporting terrorism from Afghan territory.
“No civilian population or civilian infrastructure was targeted, contrary to claims made by Afghan regime officials and media,” the minister said.
