Rihanna Leaves LA After Shooting at Beverly Hills Home

Los Angeles: International pop star Rihanna has left Los Angeles following a shooting incident at her residence in Beverly Hills, authorities said.

According to media reports, photographs showed the singer boarding a private plane at Van Nuys Airport on Monday afternoon after the incident that occurred a day earlier.

Investigators said a suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting. Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, from Orlando, Florida, has been taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder, with bail set at $10.2 million.

Police said the suspect allegedly drove to the singer’s mansion and fired multiple rounds from an AR-15-style rifle at the property. Authorities reported that four rounds or fragments struck parts of the residence.

Rihanna was inside the house with her children at the time of the shooting, but no injuries were reported.

Investigators later located the suspect’s white Tesla vehicle about eight miles away at Sherman Oaks Galleria, where Ortiz was taken into custody. Rifle shell casings were recovered from the scene.

Officials said they were examining evidence suggesting the suspect had been fixated on Rihanna before the incident. Social media posts indicated that she had been making videos and writing about the singer in the period leading up to the attack. However, authorities said no confirmed link between the suspect and the singer had yet been established and the motive remained under investigation.

Rihanna, 37, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was born in Barbados and is among the world’s best-known music artists.

She shares three children with partner A$AP Rocky. The couple announced Rihanna’s third pregnancy at the Met Gala in 2025.

The nine-time Grammy Award winner recently marked the 20th anniversary of her debut album and has built a successful business empire that includes Fenty Beauty. According to Forbes, her net worth is estimated to exceed $1 billion.
