Pezeshkian Calls for Unity Among Islamic Countries, Says Solidarity Can Curb Israeli Aggression

Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran supports every effort aimed at promoting unity and mutual understanding among Islamic countries.

Addressing a four-nation meeting, Pezeshkian said Muslim countries could harness their collective capabilities to present a model of justice and development to the world.

He added that unity among Islamic nations could help prevent Israel from continuing its aggression.

The Iranian president said Israel had believed that military aggression would force Iran to surrender. However, he said, external pressure and military operations had further strengthened unity among the Iranian people.

According to Pezeshkian, the region has witnessed a widespread wave of Israeli crimes in recent years. Despite the losses and hardships, he said, the Iranian nation remained steadfast in defending its homeland.

Pezeshkian stressed that the notion of forcing Iran to surrender was misguided.
