RAWALPINDI: Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has directed military formations to remain fully alert and maintain the highest level of operational readiness, reaffirming the armed forces’ commitment to establishing lasting peace and stability across Pakistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar, where he was given a comprehensive briefing on the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The briefing covered ongoing counterterrorism operations in the province, border management measures and the operational preparedness of formations deployed in the region.
The field marshal appreciated the high morale, preparedness and professional capabilities of officers and troops. He also commended their steadfastness in safeguarding the country and its people.
Field Marshal Asim Munir directed the formations to remain vigilant at all times and maintain the highest standards of operational preparedness. He said the armed forces, with the unwavering support of the nation, remained committed to defeating terrorism and ensuring lasting peace and stability across the country.
During the visit, the chief of defence forces also paid tribute to the martyrs at the Martyrs’ Memorial. He laid a floral wreath and said the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs would never be forgotten.
Upon his arrival in Peshawar, the Corps Commander Peshawar received Field Marshal Asim Munir.
