LAHORE: Lahore Deputy Commissioner has issued orders for the 30-day detention of Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
According to the detention order, the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore submitted a report on September 20, 2026, stating that the activities of Aleema Khan and her driver, Muhammad Amir, were allegedly harmful to public order and public safety.
The report alleged that the two had encouraged party workers to damage government and public property during the May 9 protests and road blockades.
It further stated that Aleema Khan and Muhammad Amir were continuing to mobilise workers through social media platforms and public gatherings.
The deputy commissioner subsequently issued the detention orders for a period of 30 days, according to the official order.
