The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned drone attacks launched from Iraqi territory that targeted oil facilities in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.
In a statement issued today, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attacks as a “blatant violation” of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a threat to the kingdom’s security and stability.
The ministry did not specify when the attacks took place, nor did it provide details on whether they caused any casualties or damage.
Saudi Arabia last reported drone strikes on Tuesday and subsequently carried out joint strikes with the United States against what it described as Iran-aligned groups in Iraq.
The strikes killed at least 20 members of Iraq’s paramilitary Popular Mobilisation Forces, according to the group.
