Pakistan Extends Airspace Ban on Indian Aircraft Until August 24

Islamabad: Pakistan has extended the closure of its airspace to Indian aircraft until August 24, according to a fresh Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) on Saturday.

Under the renewed restriction, Indian-registered, operated, owned, and leased aircraft will continue to be prohibited from using Pakistani airspace. The extension applies to both civilian and military aircraft, maintaining the restrictions that have been in place since the earlier closure.

The Pakistan Airports Authority stated that the decision was communicated through the latest NOTAM, ensuring that the ban remains effective until the revised expiry date unless further extended or amended.

The continued airspace restriction is expected to affect flight routes and operational planning for Indian airlines, which have been required to use longer alternative routes due to the closure.
