Tehran: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed it expanded the scope of its ongoing military campaign, “True Promise 4,” targeting US and Israeli military assets across the region in what it described as successive waves of missile and drone strikes.
In its fourth statement, the IRGC said the fifth wave of the operation extended beyond previously announced targets, striking US naval and logistical facilities. The corps claimed that Kuwait’s Abdullah Al-Mubarak Air Base was hit by four ballistic missiles and 12 drones, allegedly causing extensive damage to infrastructure. It further claimed that the strike resulted in casualties among US personnel, though independent confirmation was not immediately available.
The IRGC also stated that Iraq’s Al-Harir Air Base, which hosts US forces, was targeted, while Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan Air Base was struck with missiles and drones.
According to the statement, an MSP vessel assigned to transport ammunition to US ships at Jebel Ali Port was hit by four drones and rendered inoperable. Additionally, an MST combat support ship operating in the Indian Ocean was reportedly struck by Iranian Qadr-380 missiles.
Earlier, in its third statement, the IRGC announced that the third and fourth waves of “True Promise 4” were underway, deploying what it described as more advanced, precise, and destructive missile systems compared to the previous “True Promise 3” operation. The corps warned that subsequent waves would be more powerful.
Among Israeli targets, the IRGC named the naval base and military yard in Haifa, as well as Ramat David Airbase and the Ministry of War headquarters in Tel Aviv’s HaKirya district. Military-industrial sites in Bet Shemesh and Ashdod were also listed as targets.
Iran claimed that strategic port and defense-linked infrastructure in Ashdod, including facilities associated with major Israeli defense firms, were within the strike zone.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported significant damage in Tel Aviv following the latest missile salvo, including the destruction of a building and a direct hit on what was described as an Israeli target. There was no immediate official confirmation regarding casualties or the extent of the damage.
The situation remains fluid, with rising tensions fueling concerns of broader regional escalation.
