Pakistan Launches Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq Against Taliban Regime

Islamabad (Special Report) Pakistan has formally launched Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq against the Afghan Taliban regime following what officials describe as unprovoked cross-border aggression, significantly escalating tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to security sources, Pakistani forces are delivering a “strong and effective response” after Taliban fighters allegedly opened fire on multiple locations along the Pak-Afghan border.

Security officials stated that the operation was initiated after repeated incidents of cross-border firing targeted Pakistani positions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In response, Pakistan’s security forces launched coordinated retaliatory strikes across several sectors, including Naway Gai in Bajaur, Tirah in Khyber, Mohmand district, and Arandu sector in Chitral.

Sources claim that the response was carried out with precision targeting to neutralize hostile positions without harming civilian populations.

In the Chitral sector, Pakistani forces reportedly destroyed an Afghan Taliban check post with what officials described as “high accuracy.”

In Bajaur, 2 enemy posts were confirmed destroyed during the exchange of fire. Security sources further claimed that several hostile militants, referred to officially as “khawarij,” fled their positions following the strikes.

The military response included the use of small and heavy weapons, while drones were deployed to target identified militant posts.

According to confirmed reports cited by security officials, at least 22 Afghan Taliban personnel were killed during the operation. In addition, an attempted quadcopter drone strike targeting Pakistani check posts was intercepted and neutralized.

Officials stated that the drone’s launch point was tracked and subsequently targeted, preventing further escalation.

Pakistan’s security establishment has accused the Afghan Taliban regime of spreading misinformation through media and social media platforms.

Officials claim that fake videos and exaggerated claims are being circulated to mislead the public regarding the scale and outcome of the clashes. Authorities have urged citizens to rely only on verified official statements.

Earlier, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a statement on the social media platform X confirming that Pakistan had delivered an immediate and effective response to what it described as unprovoked Taliban aggression.

The ministry stated that Afghan Taliban forces opened fire at multiple border points in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, prompting a strong retaliatory response in Chitral, Khyber, Mohmand, Kurram, and Bajaur sectors.

The latest escalation adds to growing tensions between Islamabad and Kabul over border security and militant sanctuaries.

Pakistani officials have repeatedly accused elements operating from Afghan territory of launching attacks inside Pakistan.

The Afghan Taliban administration has previously denied such allegations, insisting that Afghan soil is not being used against neighboring countries.

Defense analysts suggest that Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq represents a shift from limited tactical retaliation to a more structured and coordinated military response.

The operation signals Pakistan’s intent to assert border sovereignty and deter further cross-border attacks.

Security in sensitive border regions remains on high alert, with reinforcements reportedly deployed to key positions.

While Pakistan has stated that it seeks regional stability and peace, officials emphasize that national security and territorial integrity remain non-negotiable.

The situation along the Pak-Afghan border remains fluid, and further developments are expected in the coming hours as military operations continue.
