DHAKA: Pakistan cricket team captain Shaheen Shah Afridi said early wickets were the main reason behind Pakistan’s defeat in the decisive third One-Day International against Bangladesh national cricket team in Dhaka.
Speaking to the media after the match, Shaheen said the team lost momentum due to early dismissals but praised his players for putting up a strong fight.
“I am proud of my team. Our players showed great fighting spirit. Salman Ali Agha played an excellent innings,” he said.
The captain also congratulated Bangladesh for their performance, saying international cricket always offers new lessons.
“Bangladesh played good cricket and deserve congratulations. We had several young players in the side but they fought well,” he added.
