IRGC announces expansion of attacks in Operation True Promise

Iran ready for prolonged conflict, new strategic weapons may be used: IRGC spokesman

ISLAMABAD, Mar 6 (APP): Iran has said it is prepared for a prolonged conflict and may introduce new strategic weapons that have not yet been used in the ongoing war, according to a statement by a senior military spokesperson.

Foreign media reported that the spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, said Iran possesses advanced capabilities that have not yet been deployed on the battlefield.

He stated that the attacks carried out so far represented only a portion of Iran’s actual military capacity.

Earlier, the IRGC announced plans to intensify and expand its operations in the coming days, accusing the United States and Israel of escalating the conflict.

According to the statement, the seventeenth wave of Operation True Promise targeted strategic American and Israeli positions.

Iranian officials claimed that the strikes included targets such as Ben Gurion Airport and facilities linked to Israel’s defence establishment.

The IRGC further claimed that more than seven advanced radar systems were destroyed during the attacks, which it said had weakened the surveillance capabilities of US and Israeli forces.

The spokesperson added that the destruction of radar installations had significantly reduced the ability of the United States and Israel to monitor military movements.

Independent sources have not yet confirmed these claims.
