Ishaq Dar, UK Minister Stephen Doughty Discuss Bilateral Ties in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met UK Minister of State Stephen Doughty in Islamabad, with the two sides holding detailed discussions on Pakistan-UK bilateral relations.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan and the United Kingdom reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties and agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, education and security.

The two officials also exchanged views on the regional and global situation, with both sides expressing concern over the rapidly changing security environment and emerging challenges.

Ishaq Dar emphasized that sustained dialogue and diplomacy were essential to addressing regional and global challenges.

According to the Foreign Office, Pakistan and the UK also agreed to take steps to reactivate the bilateral political dialogue at the earliest.
