The champions of the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup will receive a record-breaking $2.3 million, marking the highest single prize ever awarded in women’s club football.
The runners-up in the final, scheduled for February 1 at Arsenal Stadium in London, will take home $1 million, while the two losing semi-finalists will each earn $200,000. Teams eliminated earlier in the tournament — Auckland United FC of New Zealand and China’s Wuhan Chegu Jiangda WFC — have already received $100,000 each.
The semi-final matches will be played on Wednesday at Brentford Stadium in West London. NWSL side Gotham FC will face Brazil’s SC Corinthians in the first semi-final, followed by hosts Arsenal Women FC taking on Morocco’s AS FAR.
FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafstrom said that nearly $4 million will be distributed among the six participating clubs based on performance, calling it a strong endorsement of women’s club football. He added that the prize structure reflects the global growth of the women’s game and FIFA’s long-term commitment to investing in women’s football at all levels.
According to FIFA, the initiative aims to ensure that opportunity, visibility, and financial value continue to grow in line with the rising standards and performances seen in women’s football worldwide.
