NEW YORK: Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly proceedings in New York, according to the Syrian Presidency.
The meeting was attended by Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shibani.
The two leaders discussed bilateral relations between Syria and Pakistan and explored prospects for expanding cooperation across various areas.
They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, the Syrian Presidency said.
The meeting took place as world leaders gathered in New York for the ongoing United Nations General Assembly session.
