Pakistan targets militants infrastructure inside Afghanistan, say sources

Islamabad (Web Desk) Pakistan conducted overnight airstrikes inside Afghanistan between March 12 and 13, targeting militant infrastructure linked to the Afghan Taliban and the militant group Fitna al-Khawarij, security sources said.

According to the sources, Pakistani forces targeted four militant hideouts during the operation, striking facilities believed to be used by Afghan Taliban fighters and militants associated with Fitna al-Khawarij.

The sources said Pakistani forces also successfully targeted military installations during the strikes, expanding the scope of the operation beyond militant hideouts.

Among the targets was infrastructure belonging to Kabul’s 313 Corps, which was destroyed during the operation, the sources added.

Security forces have destroyed an Afghan Taliban post in an area adjoining the Zhob sector as part of an ongoing operation against militants, sources said on Thursday.

According to the sources, the action was carried out under Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, during which Pakistani forces targeted positions linked to the Afghan Taliban and the terrorist group Fitna al-Khawarij.

The post was demolished during the operation, forcing the militants affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij to flee the area, the sources added.

Security sources said operations against militants in the Zhob sector are continuing.
