Saudi Coalition Reports Missile Interceptions, Strikes on Houthi Weapons Depots

Saudi Military Coalition Says It Is United in Defending the Two Holy Mosques

Riyadh: Saudi-led military coalition spokesperson Major General Turki Al-Maliki has said that the coalition is united in defending the Two Holy Mosques, accusing the Houthi militia of attempting to target several Saudi airports, oil facilities and ports.

Speaking at a press conference in Riyadh, Al-Maliki said the Houthi attacks constituted a clear violation of international norms.

He added that Saudi air defence systems had intercepted and destroyed multiple missiles and rocket launchers fired by the militia.

According to Al-Maliki, attempts to target several critical Saudi facilities had been thwarted. He also claimed that more than 120 Houthi weapons depots had been destroyed in mountainous areas of Yemen.

The coalition spokesperson further stated that the Houthi militia had launched missiles from certain areas of Yemen’s capital, Sanaa.

He added that evacuations were under way in affected areas of Sanaa to protect civilians from the potential consequences of the ongoing military operations.

Al-Maliki’s remarks underscored Saudi Arabia’s stated commitment to defending the Two Holy Mosques and protecting its critical infrastructure amid escalating regional tensions.
