KP Governor Says People Welcome Presidential Proclamation, Vow to Stand Against Terrorism

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said that the people of the province welcome the presidential proclamation and want peace, stability, development and prosperity, urging citizens to stand alongside security institutions in the fight against terrorism.

In an important message to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi said the public had decided not to support what he described as “Fitna al-Khawarij” and was determined to fight terrorists alongside security forces until the end.

He said the people of the province wanted a peaceful and prosperous future instead of unrest and instability.

They also sought brotherly relations and cooperation with other provinces to promote development and prosperity through shared experiences and joint efforts.

The governor added that the people wanted democratic values to flourish and the benefits of development to reach ordinary citizens.

Describing the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as peace-loving, he said they did not support terrorism or violent activities.

Faisal Karim Kundi urged citizens to refrain from violating the law, inciting violence or engaging in riots.

He warned that strict legal action would be taken against those who disturbed public order or took the law into their own hands.
