Pakistan Stands Firm with Saudi Arabia, PM Shehbaz Urges Houthis to Halt Attacks

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned Houthi militia attacks on Saudi Arabia, expressing Pakistan’s full solidarity with the Saudi leadership and people and calling for an immediate halt to the attacks.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, the prime minister condemned the targeting of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha Airport. He also expressed sorrow over the deaths and injuries caused by the attacks on Saudi Arabia.

Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to protecting Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security.

He praised the vigilance and professionalism of the Saudi and allied armed forces, commending them for intercepting and thwarting multiple ballistic missile attacks targeting the kingdom.

The prime minister said Pakistan’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s security under the Makkah Mutual Defence Agreement remained unwavering. He reiterated Pakistan’s full support for Saudi Arabia’s legitimate right to defend its people, cities, and critical infrastructure.

Calling on the Houthi militia to immediately cease its attacks against Saudi Arabia, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan would continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the kingdom in the face of security threats.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security would remain steadfast.
