Pakistan, Bahrain Agree to Enhance Trade and Investment Cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani in Islamabad, with both sides agreeing to further strengthen trade, investment and economic cooperation between the two countries.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the two foreign ministers reviewed various aspects of Pakistan-Bahrain bilateral relations during the meeting.

Particular focus was placed on expanding trade activities, economic partnerships and investment opportunities.

The two sides discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in these areas and agreed to make coordination more effective on matters of mutual interest at multilateral international forums.

Ishaq Dar and Al Zayani expressed satisfaction over the positive progress in high-level diplomatic contacts between Pakistan and Bahrain.

Both leaders reaffirmed their desire to build on the current positive momentum in bilateral relations and further promote cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and global developments of common concern. They agreed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most viable means of resolving differences and conflicts.
