Two Unarmed Pakistani Civilians Killed in Alleged BSF Firing Near Kasur Border

Lahore: Two unarmed Pakistani civilians were killed and another was injured after Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel allegedly opened fire on three Pakistani citizens near the Pakistan-India international border in Kasur, according to security sources.

The security sources said the three residents of Ladhar village were targeted by BSF personnel after moving only a few steps beyond a border pillar. The sources alleged that the Indian forces opened fire without issuing any warning.

As a result of the firing, two civilians were killed while another sustained injuries. The three men were reportedly unarmed at the time of the incident.

According to security sources, the deceased were identified as Azmat Rasool and Mohsin Jutt, both residents of Jattan Wali Haveli, Ladhar.

The sources further alleged that Indian media outlets, continuing what they described as a “false flag operation” narrative, portrayed the Pakistani civilians as infiltrators. The sources maintained that none of the three men had attempted to cross the border fence.

Security sources described the incident as a violation of the applicable border agreement and standard operating procedures governing the Pakistan-India international border.
