RAWALPINDI: The 277th Corps Commanders’ Conference was held under the chairmanship of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The forum paid tribute to the armed forces and law enforcement agencies for their services and sacrifices in defending the country.
A Fateha was also offered for civilians who laid down their lives in the defence of the motherland.
According to ISPR, the forum reviewed the prevailing security environment and reiterated its resolve to safeguard national security and maintain peace and stability.
The participants said that any attempt to create violent disorder or conditions similar to the May 9 incidents, under any pretext, would be dealt with firmly.
The forum further resolved that any such attempt would be dealt with through decisive force and in accordance with the law, without discrimination.
The conference reaffirmed the armed forces’ commitment to defending the country and supporting efforts to maintain law and order.
