ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting to review Pakistan’s preparations for hosting the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of State Summit in Islamabad in 2027.
During the meeting, Ishaq Dar expressed satisfaction with the progress of preparations and directed all relevant departments to maintain close coordination and ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks in accordance with the agreed timelines.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister underscored Pakistan’s commitment to successfully hosting the SCO Summit and setting high standards as the host of the important multilateral forum.
The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Secretary Defence, Acting Foreign Secretary, Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
