New York: Global music superstar Taylor Swift has made history at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), becoming the most-awarded artist in the ceremony’s history.
Swift entered the ceremony tied with Beyoncé at 30 VMA wins. She broke the record after receiving the newly introduced VMA Artist Director Honor, becoming the first recipient of the award.
She later added two more trophies to her collection, winning Video of the Year and Best Direction for her song “The Fate of Ophelia.” The victories took her career VMA total to 33 awards.
During the ceremony, Swift also premiered the music video for her new song “Patient Zero.” She directed the video herself, while actors Colin Farrell and Dakota Johnson appeared in the production.
