RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defence Prince Khalid bin Salman said he met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, to discuss the outcomes of the meeting of the Chiefs of Staff of countries participating in the Makkah Agreement for Joint Defence.
In a statement, Prince Khalid bin Salman said the two sides commended the outcomes of the Chiefs of Staff meeting and discussed the attacks targeting Makkah Al-Mukarramah, as well as civilian and economic facilities in the Kingdom.
He said Saudi Arabia and Pakistan reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts to confront such attacks in accordance with the Makkah Agreement for Joint Defence.
The Saudi Defence Minister’s remarks come amid ongoing efforts by the participating countries to strengthen defence coordination and cooperation under the agreement.
The meeting between Prince Khalid bin Salman and Field Marshal Asim Munir underscored the two countries’ stated commitment to coordinated measures aimed at protecting the Kingdom’s territory, holy cities and civilian infrastructure.
