NEW YORK: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held separate meetings with the foreign ministers of Bahrain and Singapore on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During his meeting with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and discussed preparations for the forthcoming 3rd Session of the Joint Ministerial Commission.
The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments. Dr. Al Zayani appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and maintaining close coordination at bilateral and multilateral forums.
In a separate meeting, Ishaq Dar met Singapore’s Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan. The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and discussed ways to expand cooperation in diverse areas of mutual interest.
They agreed that sustained engagement and high-level exchanges would contribute to deepening bilateral ties and advancing mutually beneficial cooperation.
The two ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments. Foreign Minister Balakrishnan appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to promote dialogue and diplomacy in addressing regional challenges.
Both ministers agreed to remain in close contact and continue coordination on matters of mutual interest.
