GAZA/RAMALLAH: Israeli forces carried out a drone strike near Haifa School in the central Gaza Strip, with five casualties reported, including one person in critical condition, according to reports cited by Al Mayadeen and local monitoring sources.
The reported strike occurred in the Khan Younis area as Israeli military operations continued across parts of the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces carried out raids in the city of Qalqilya and the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, detaining more than 150 Palestinians, according to local sources cited by Anadolu Agency.
The reports said around 15 military vehicles and more than 30 soldiers entered Azzun and raided several homes. Some of those detained were reportedly taken to a house that was being used as a temporary military position and subjected to field questioning before being released in groups.
In Qalqilya, Israeli forces continued a raid that began the previous evening, entering several neighborhoods, searching homes and detaining Palestinian youths. Local sources also reported injuries caused by live ammunition during the operations.
The developments come amid continued Israeli military operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, with Palestinian and international sources continuing to report civilian casualties, arrests and damage to infrastructure.
