NEW YORK: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, the GCC Secretary General appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy.
He also acknowledged Pakistan’s close partnership with the GCC and its member states.
Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening relations and cooperation between Pakistan and the GCC.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, energy, security and other areas of mutual interest.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to working closely to promote regional peace, stability and prosperity.
