ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with a delegation of Pakistani youth based in the United States, comprising healthcare professionals, information technology and artificial intelligence experts, social entrepreneurs, heads of youth organizations and other professionals.
The prime minister welcomed the delegation and invited the young Pakistanis to offer suggestions for improving various sectors and play their full role in the country’s development.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the initiatives undertaken during his tenure as Chief Minister of Punjab to provide talented young people with laptops and scholarships and to expand educational opportunities for students from economically disadvantaged families through the Daanish Schools.
He said the initiative was continuing at the national level during his tenure as prime minister.
“Along with providing international-standard education to children from economically disadvantaged families through Daanish Schools, work is now also underway to establish a world-class Daanish University,” the prime minister said.
The prime minister emphasized the importance of engaging Pakistani youth and professionals abroad in the country’s development and benefiting from their expertise, experience and innovative ideas.
