Doha: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived here on Monday on a two-day official visit at the invitation of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional developments.
Upon arrival at Hamad International Airport, the prime minister was received by Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with senior officials and members of the federal cabinet, is accompanying the prime minister, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit reflects the deep-rooted fraternal relations between Pakistan and Qatar and their shared commitment to further strengthening multifaceted cooperation.
During his stay, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold bilateral talks with the Amir of Qatar covering the entire spectrum of relations, including political engagement, economic cooperation, energy partnership, and people-to-people contacts.
Both sides are also expected to explore new avenues of collaboration, particularly in trade, investment, energy, infrastructure development, and manpower export. The visit will provide an opportunity for the leadership of the two countries to exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest and reaffirm their resolve to work together for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
