President Expresses Confidence in Scouts’ Global Role

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday congratulated more than 500,000 scouts of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association, acknowledging their contributions to youth development and national service.

According to an official statement, the president said scouting plays a vital role in the physical, mental, and spiritual development of young people, urging them to focus on character building and constructive activities.

He emphasized that scouts should remain active in promoting a green and climate-resilient Pakistan, adding that building a drug-free and digitally empowered nation was equally important.

President Zardari said the role of scouts in emergency response and disaster management was indispensable, stressing that their active participation was also essential in efforts to eradicate polio from Pakistan. He noted that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had described scouting as an important platform for the character building of youth.

The president expressed confidence that the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association would play a more effective role at the international level and continue to serve as a strong force in nation-building.
