COLOMBO: Pakistan national cricket team secured a place in the Super Eight stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup after defeating the Namibia national cricket team by 102 runs in a one-sided contest in Colombo on Wednesday.
Chasing a target of 200 runs set by Pakistan, Namibia were bowled out for 97 in 17.3 overs, failing to mount any significant resistance against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack.
Earlier, Pakistan posted a strong total on the back of a brilliant century by opener Sahibzada Farhan, who was later named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.
The comprehensive victory ensured Pakistan’s qualification for the next round of the tournament.
