ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday confirmed that the mastermind behind the Islamabad suicide blast, linked to the proscribed Daesh group, has been arrested along with the attack’s facilitators.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the interior minister said security agencies carried out swift operations following the attack, leading to the arrests in Peshawar and Nowshera districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said the detained suspects include the planner of the attack as well as those who facilitated the suicide bomber, adding that investigations are continuing and further details will be shared as they emerge.
