NEW YORK: Actress Selma Blair was arrested Sunday after allegedly attempting to open an aircraft door mid-flight and assaulting flight attendants aboard a Delta Airlines flight bound for John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
According to reports, Blair allegedly punched one flight attendant and bit another, leaving two crew members injured.
She was restrained onboard and arrested after landing. She also allegedly kicked a Port Authority police officer while being transported by ambulance and assaulted a nurse at the hospital.
Authorities have charged Blair with two counts of assault involving a police officer and a nurse. The FBI is investigating the incident, while Blair remains in hospital for evaluation.
A representative for Blair said she had experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct and was receiving medical attention in stable condition.
In 2016, Blair was also removed from a flight following an outburst, which she later attributed to mixing medication with alcohol amid undiagnosed neurological issues.
