Washington: US President Donald Trump said he had “a decision to make” on Iran, warning Tehran it would face “the easy way or the hard way” as he weighs his next move.
“Iran’s been decimated,” Trump told reporters as he left the White House for Ohio, without elaborating on the decision he was considering.
“So the only question is, it’ll either be the easy way or the hard way,” he said.
Trump also claimed that Iran was “virtually giving up any plans of a nuclear weapon”.
His remarks came as his administration weighs its options on Iran amid heightened tensions and stalled efforts to resolve the conflict.
Senior Trump administration officials also met at Camp David on Friday to discuss Iran and Yemen, according to US officials cited by Axios.
